Sport also plays an important role in shaping high culture and patriotism. The achievements in this area will introduce the country to the world and make all our compatriots proud. Especially in the last five years, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev has paid more attention to sports.
Due to the created conditions, the champions of Syrdarya district, who raised our flag in the world arenas, are being discovered. In particular, Mahsud Veysalov and Ulbosin Hakimova, residents of Yangiabad mahalla of the district, are proof of our opinion.
In particular, the Asian-Oceanian Judo Championship among juniors, youth and adults was held in Beirut, Lebanon. Ulbosin Hakimova became the Asian champion, defeating all rivals.
Mahsud Veysalov – multiple winner of the Cup of Uzbekistan and the Championship of Uzbekistan in Freestyle Wrestling. He won a silver medal at an international tournament in the Russian Federation. He won bronze medals at the World Championship in Tallinn, Estonia.
Both athletes are also candidates for the Summer Olympics in Paris.
In addition, the youth of Syrdarya took an active part in the World Taekwondo Championship and the Youth Cup, which was held on December 13-20 in Minsk, Belarus, in the ITF Taekwondo.
